ABOUT US

بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah the compassionate, the merciful.

Asalamualakum Sisters and welcome to Nisa where Muslim women are here to provide counselling services for Muslim women.

What is counselling?

It is okay to not be okay sometimes. It becomes a problem if our daily life is affected by our mental health. Counselling can provide positive ways to manage challenging situations, teach effective coping strategies and help to improve overall quality of life. At Nisa, we do this by incorporating Islamic values with psychological knowledge to cater to the unique needs of Muslim women.

Why attend counselling?

Common reasons why Muslim women attend counselling include self-esteem, marital problems, anxiety, depression, and stress but sometimes they just need someone to talk to without judgement and with confidentiality.

Our counsellors are ready to provide support with these issues and beyond through our telehealth services. However, they cannot provide any diagnosis.

Our services are specific to Muslim women of any age. However, those under 17 must have parental consent.

Please note…

We are not a crisis service, for immediate aid and safety, please contact triple zero (000).
